IT - Network Administrator

This position is a member of the IT department and reports directly to the IT Coordinator. The general purpose is to support the school’s information systems and maintain the school network and on-site servers.

Responsibilities

  1. Perform technical support and systems administration for all machines and servers.
  2. Ensure the highest level of security by downloading the latest fixes, patches and service packs for all software used on the network. Provide appropriate technical support to teachers, administrators and support staff.
  3. Maintain high speed and stable Cisco wired and AeroHive wireless network and Firewall Device.
  4. Maintain and repair or supervise repair of all electronic systems hardware, and update software.
  5. Setup, configure, and install new computers.
  6. Establish criteria for evaluating performance of systems and software, compare criteria to actual performance, and follow up with corrective actions when necessary to achieve maximum efficiency of operation.
  7. Provide information as necessary to support the development of plans and budgets for the technology aspect of the school.
  8. Develop, maintain, and monitor procedures that target day-to-day operations of all the technology systems within the school.
  9. Contribute to the development of a long range IT Plan.
  10. Performs other duties as appropriate and assigned by the Director.


Qualifications

  1. Associates degree or above in Computer/Network related majors.

  2. Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in information technology and multinational working environment.

  3. Prior experience working in help desk, network set-up, and troubleshooting strongly preferred.
  4. Good sense in handling urgency and ability to efficiently multi-task; attention to details.

  5. Demonstrated ability to learn and apply computer technology skills rapidly.
  6. Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, administrators, and other professionals, including vendors.
  7. Technology related certifications preferred (Microsoft, Cisco, RHCE, etc. 

  8. Willingness to be part of a professional learning community.
